TopTenREVIEWS Review

The Panasonic Dmr Eh75vs is not your ordinary DVD Recorder, this DVD recorder makes the rest pale in comparison with combination VHS and integrated 80 GB hard drive.

The Panasonic Dmr Eh75vs is a TV lover’s dream machine. Not only can it record and burn your favorite programs, but you can also use it like a TiVo without the subscription and save entire seasons on its enormous 80 GB hard drive.  The unit also includes a VCR, front panel firewire port, dialog enhancer and memory card expansion slot. The Eh75vs supports all common media types and some of the less common like DivX, VCD and DVD-Ram. It has four recording modes and will record to both + and – DVDR.

Critics found the Eh75vs to act quirky with various media and the interface to be a little cumbersome at first, but suspect users will catch on quickly. Users agree that the learning curve is a little steep, but on a whole the unit only has some minor flaws and its pros outweigh the cons.

This DVD recorder is perfect for electronic enthusiasts that are looking for top quality recordings without signing up for a subscription service.

Even with its comprehensive array of recording options, the DMR-EH75VS does disappoint in some areas. The universal remote feels cheap and has a confusing, cluttered layout, causing us no little frustration while searching for the correct control. The...
