The Denon DVD-1730 is a solid DVD player from a company that is not exactly well known in the United States. Although the Denton 1730 offers minimal features it produces a solid picture and sound quality.

The Denon 1730 DVD player includes an HDMI output video up converter that will convert standard DVDs to near HD quality including 720p and 1080i. The DVD player will also play DivX, MP3, WMA and JPEG files.

There is little to complain about the Denon DVD-1730. The video up convert is highly praised by critics and users alike.  It produces a great picture on HDTVs, when using the HDMI cord and has excellent sound quality. Some users found difficulty using the Denon 1730 on recorded DVD+R, so some home movies could be an issue, but factory produced DVD and DVD-R work just fine.

The value of this DVD player can’t be beat. You get a solid piece of machinery at an excellent price.

We love a bargain at Unbeatable and this silver goddess really is that. To think for less £150 you can get a DVD player that upscales to HD is really good. If you haven’t got HD TV yet you might want to hang on for a while but the way we see it is if
